High-ceiling industrial space
Clear height (also called clear ceiling height) is the usable height inside a hall, from the floor to the lowest obstruction. It determines racking levels, machine height, crane hook travel and whether tall goods or vehicles can enter.
Why clear height is listed
Area in m² does not describe a hall. Five metres of clear height is a different building from eight or twelve metres. Pallet racking, production equipment and overhead cranes all consume vertical space. FlexHall listings publish ceiling height so seekers can discard halls that are simply too low.
Always check what the figure means: floor to tie beam, to sprinkler, or to crane. If you need racking or a crane, ask the provider for the obstruction that sits lowest.
What renters should provide
State stored or machine height, racking plans if you have them, and whether an overhead crane must travel above the work. Combine height with door dimensions — a tall hall with a low door still cannot take the load.
How to search on FlexHall
Read the clear-height field on each listing, or post a request with a minimum height. High-ceiling space is often paired with floor load and crane capacity on production jobs.
